A lot of agents will tell you they keep their business small on purpose. A few clients a year, so you get their full attention.

I’d argue the opposite. RE/MAX Canada ranked me #17 in the country (2025) in their Top 30 Under 30, chosen from more than 25,000 Canadian RE/MAX agents and ranked on commissions earned. The same year I finished #4 individual agent at RE/MAX Kelowna (2025). I’m not telling you that to impress you. I’m telling you because of what it does for your file.

Volume is data. When I tell you what your home is worth, I’m not guessing off three sales I read about. I’m pricing off deals I was actually in, this year, in this market. When I tell you a buyer is going to push back on the roof, it’s because the last few did. That isn’t instinct. It’s reps.

I’m a BC-licensed REALTOR® (#191956) with RE/MAX Kelowna, born and raised here, working Kelowna, West Kelowna, Peachland and Lake Country.

Six years in the trades first

Before real estate I spent six years as a journeyman HVAC technician. Mechanical rooms, crawlspaces and attics, in homes all over this valley, working alongside the plumbing and the electrical the whole time. I’m well versed in all three, and it still changes how I walk a property with you.

For sellers, it helps us separate the work that will actually move the sale from the work that just costs you money. For buyers, it means I have a decent idea of what an inspection is going to turn up before you write the offer, not after.

More about how I got here

Selling

A sale comes down to a few honest questions. What is the market actually showing us, how should the home be prepared, and which marketing decisions help a buyer understand what they’re looking at?

I handle pricing, preparation, media and negotiation. You’ll get the price I think this market supports, the evidence behind it, and a straight answer about what would change my mind.

And if a listing isn’t moving, I phone you and say so. I’d rather have the uncomfortable conversation in week six than let you sit at the wrong number until you resent me for it.

How I sell a home

Buying

Finding listings is the easy part. The useful work is figuring out whether this specific home makes sense at this specific price, what it’s going to need after possession, and which terms are worth fighting for.

I buy property myself, so I look at your purchase the way I look at mine. If the numbers don’t work, I’ll tell you they don’t work. Talking you into something you regret is a bad way to get referrals.

I had an amazing experience working with Braden Koop in Kelowna when buying my first home last year. From day one, Braden was friendly, encouraging, and genuinely easy to get along with. His communication was excellent—super accessible, quick to reply, and always clear and patient throughout the process. He was very helpful and knowledgeable, and on the rare occasions when something came up that he didn’t know off the top of his head, he never guessed—he would find out and come back with the right answer. No matter what I needed, he always did his utmost to help, and I really felt supported every step of the way. What stood out most is that it didn’t just feel like a professional realtor/homebuyer experience. Braden genuinely felt like a friend and a supporter throughout the entire process—I felt cared for, not just “worked with.” Even after the purchase was complete, he still took the time to help with concerns and questions he didn’t necessarily have to. I honestly couldn’t have hoped for a better first-time home buying experience. Highly recommend Braden Koop to anyone looking for a realtor in Kelowna.

Braden has been an excellent realtor - he is communicative, clear and helpful. He is very responsive and takes time to explain things in detail so we always know what we are getting into! He also has lots of contacts in the industry as well and has made great recommendations for other services that we needed. Would highly recommend him and glad we have his number if we need his services in the future!

We had a great experience working with Braden to find our home in West Kelowna. We were looking for a place that fit our growing family and he was patient as we saw multiple homes to find the right one. He was always available for calls and showings and made the process feel easy. His communication was timely, professional and he had our best interests at heart throughout. When it came time to make an offer Braden really stood out! He’s a skilled negotiator and was able to get us an even better price than we expected. We’d highly recommend him to anyone looking in the area.
